For independent restaurants

The counter, the kitchen, and online orders on one system.

DocketPos runs the register, sends tickets to the right station, and takes orders from your own website. It is set up hands-on, one restaurant at a time, so the menu, tax and printers are configured with you rather than left as homework.

Both buttons open the same quick form below—we’ll set up the walkthrough time by phone or email.

How it is built

Dine in, takeout, delivery

One order rail handles all three, plus orders that come in from your website.

Cashier, Manager, Owner

Staff sign in by name and 4-digit PIN. Discounts and voids sit behind a manager PIN.

One account, many locations

Each staff member is pinned to their own location and sees only that location’s orders.

A database per restaurant

Your orders live in a database of your own, not a shared table with everyone else’s.

Simple launch pricing

Priced per restaurant location

The register, the kitchen display and online ordering are all included — no modules to add on later. No long-term contract.

Standard

$99/month/location

Early partner

$69/month/location for the first year

DocketPos commission is 0.30% on online orders only.

Card processing fees are separate.

If you already have a system

Nothing on your counter belongs to us

The big systems sell you the terminal, then finance it over three years. Software, hardware and processing arrive as one bill, tied together tightly enough that leaving turns the equipment on your counter into scrap.

DocketPos has no hardware to sell, so there is nothing to finance and nothing to send back.

  • The register runs in a browser — a tablet, a laptop, or a cheap mini PC
  • The kitchen display is a browser on an ordinary screen in the pass, not a leased terminal billed per screen
  • Receipts print to a standard Star printer over your own network, bought from whoever sells them cheapest
  • If a device dies mid-service, replace it with anything that has a browser, enter your staff passphrase once, and carry on

We configure your hardware during onboarding. We just don’t sell it to you.

Should you switch?

Probably not, if your current system works and you are mid-contract. We would rather say that now than six months in.

DocketPos fits best when you are opening, when your contract is finally up, when the counter still runs on paper, or when you are paying for modules nobody ever turned on.

At the counter

Ring it in, split it, take the money

The check screen holds the whole payment picture: what is owed, what has been paid, and how the rest is coming in.

  • Cash and card, with split checks by guest or by amount
  • Ticket and line discounts, comps, and service charges, gated behind a manager PIN
  • House accounts, loyalty rewards, and phone-in delivery paid at the door
  • Prices switch between lunch and dinner at times you set, and the header shows which is running

In the kitchen

Tickets land on the station that cooks them

Every item carries its station, so one ticket can be worked by two stations at once and only clears when both are finished.

  • A running timer per ticket: it turns amber at eight minutes and red at twelve
  • Each station marks off its own items; the ticket leaves when nothing is outstanding
  • Live updates over the network, with a ten-second poll behind them for when the connection drops
  • Runs in a browser on an ordinary screen in the pass, not a proprietary terminal

Before they arrive

Your own ordering page, no app to install

Customers browse your menu, pick up or get it delivered, and follow the order from a link that works in any phone browser.

  • Pickup and delivery, with a delivery fee worked out by distance rather than guessed
  • Search by dish name or menu number, and filters for popular, spicy and vegetarian
  • A tracking link for each order that is unguessable and is not indexed by search engines
  • Online orders drop straight onto the same rail your counter staff are already watching
  • DocketPos commission is 0.30% on online orders only.
  • Card processing fees are separate.

Back office

The paperwork side, in the same login

Menu, staff, reports and settings sit behind the same PIN, restricted to managers and owners.

  • Menu management: items, 86’ing, substitution rules and buffet pricing
  • Daily revenue, exports, discount and comp logs, and sales trends by item and by staff member
  • Refund requests, customer complaints, driver assignment and delivery tracking
  • Receipt layout, tax rate, hours, printer addresses and card-fee settings, per location

Getting started

Set up with you, not sent to you in a box

Onboarding is hands-on, which is the honest reason we can only take a few restaurants at a time. What your setup looks like depends on your menu and your hardware, so here is what actually has to happen.

  1. 01

    Your menu goes in

Categories, items, prices, and any lunch or dinner pricing. Substitutions and combos are set up where your menu uses them.

  2. 02

    Your location is set

Tax rate, hours, delivery radius and receipt layout. Locations are provisioned by us rather than self-serve, because each one needs its own hardware and sender.

  3. 03

    Hardware is connected

Receipt printer and cash drawer are configured against your actual devices and tested before service.

  4. 04

    Staff get PINs

Everyone is added with a role and pinned to a location. Owners and managers get the admin side.

Where it stands

What is switched on, and what is not

DocketPos is early. You would be one of the first restaurants on it, so you should know exactly what that means before you pick up the phone.

Kitchen stations

Running today

You name your own stations, per location, and set the order they appear in on the screen. Items and categories route to the station that cooks them, an item can carry a second station when two need to see it, and archiving a station hides its tab without losing history.

Card payments

In progress

Built on Stripe and tested end to end, but live card processing is switched on per restaurant during onboarding and we are completing that step now. Ask us where it stands before you plan around it.

Order status texts

In progress

The customer tracking link is live. Text notifications are waiting on carrier verification of our sending number.

Delivery apps

In progress

You can register interest in a delivery partner from the admin side, but there is no live DoorDash or Uber Eats integration yet.
